I'm holding MYSELF accountable, too.

I've been complaining to friends (and Tony) that I need more accountability. I've been reading the blogs and apparently I'm not alone in getting sucked in by the allure of food. And don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with enjoying carbs now and then. But I prefer to have an occasion in mind, and by occasion, I don't mean "because I felt like it."

So, I've decided to hold myself accountable, for a change. I've reactivated my FitDay account and I'm going to put my food in there, even if it's not a perfect day. Like today, for instance. I ate more than Tony prescribed, but I logged it all and it was 1700 calories. There. I said it. It wasn't 3000 calories, but it wasn't the 1200 he wanted me to eat.

Maybe if I write it down, I'll start to be more accountable and start to see some movement. I set a new goal of 145 pounds by Labor Day. Reasonable. Attainable.

It is MINE.

You hit it on the head. We need tio be accountable to ourselves. The best reason I ever heard was "because wherever you go, there you are".

Random. I went back into my Fitday account yesterday too. You and I are connected by brain waves, I swear.

I'm digging deeper on the "treat/cheat" thing after listening to the Heart of a Diva and Janet Marsico podcasts again today. I think there's more to it than we are realizing.

Yeah I think I Read Jodi say somewhere that if I can't have five cookies then I don't even want one. That thinking always works for me...the food never fixes anything...I always feel like crap after a cheat day...if a protein shake ain't gonna cut it...then it's not about hunger...I really think success in weight loss is found when you take care of the mental roadblocks that are holding you back...it's not about the food. It never is. It really comes down to what do you want and how bad do you want it...I think I heard Tony say recently sacrifice and patience...it's that simple...oh and he forgot to say a great trainer :) I really want to see you do this...you've got what it takes...what do I have to do to get those roadblocks out of your way :) That goes for you to Mel...don't be afraid to want it bad enough to go out and get it done :)
